Dealing with an ex who has mental problems and is a pathological liar is trying at the best of times.

I'm watching 13 Tzameti, a French crime thriller. It has subtitles, but I am really enjoying the French-from-France accents and vocabulary. It reminds me of my mom and my family on her side.
Ya, I'm feeling a bit nostalgic. I can't believe that in a week it will be 4 years since my mother passed away, almost 20 years since my father passed away, and almost 2 years since I last spoke to my grandmother.
Time sure does keep on ticking...

The deck in my backyard has been sanded (finally!), and the new stairs are almost done. The only thing left to do is to stain the whole thing, but that requires a number of dry days so that the stain can be applied and allowed to dry properly. Wouldn't you know it...we've been getting rain every couple of days for the past month or so, and it looks like that pattern will be continuing for the next little while.
I suppose the weather is as good as an excuse as anything to procrastinate. ;-)

Game 5 of the Senators vs Sabres series is today! I'll be heading downtown to watch the game from a patio with a few cold beverages.
What could be better on a warm, sunny day?

Yesterday, somebody asked if my cat was pregnant. She's not. Time for a kitty diet!
Three more days until Mother's Day. It's been almost 4 years, but I still miss my mom like crazy.
I am not good at golf. I went to the driving range last week, and found out that I don't have any sort of competent golf swing. I did, however, beat Al at mini-golf! I'll take my small victories wherever I can get them. ;)

Urge to Camp
Looks like next weekend will be warm(ish) and sunny. All of a sudden I have the urge to throw some gear in my car and do some camping. It's been far too long!
There are some great places in and around Ontario, including 1000 Islands, Jones Falls, and Lake Placid (an old favourite place of mine from childhood). Hmm...
